Sir reading through your article got me wondering whether you are totally ignorant or just plain stupid. You clearly do not know your history nor do you understand the relationship that western countries have had historically with africa. The idea that a country like Nigeria which supplies the US 18% of its crude oil imports is not relevant to it is pure lunacy, on which planet do you reside? The relationship that the west has had with Africa has always been one based on exploitation and political interference for the simple reason that Africa as a continent has vast amounts of major natural resources without which most western economies would collapse.

Sir, explain to me why the US has for over 50 years been responsible for assisting into power and propping up corrupt repressive and brutal dictatorships all over africa, even as we speak america is responsible for orchestrating and financing an ongoing war in the congo in which over 6 million congolese have lost their lives and do you know why - well ill tell you because there are vast numbers of american multinationals in congo seeking control over the vast cobalt mines, cobalt is a vital component used in mobile phones, computers and most types of industrial machinery, without access to this vital mineral many manufacturers of the above products would simply go into liquidation.

A similar scenario is also being enacted in nigeria as we speak but in a slightly different manner, right now foreign multinationals are converging like vultures on nigeria to divide up public sector services that were previously provided by the nigerian govt, since the likes of obasanjo and yaradua decided to auction off almost all govt owned public services to foreign investors nigeria has now been officially sold off lock stock and barrel to its former slavemasters opening the way for the recolonisation of the entire country and the further continuation of poverty misery and suffering of the nigerian populace and you have the nerve to say that nigeria is not strategically relevant to america!! Perhaps nigerians will be better off now when they find themselves having to pay twice as much as they used to for foreign owned publci services which will now be provided by the chinese, americans and british.

You talk about good governance - please dont make me laugh, let me ask you something - if im getting something from you on the cheap and i know that as long as i keep you in power i can continue to get that thing on the cheap why would i care what sort of governance you've got going in your country. That is exactly america's position in relation to nigeria, Obama just the other day approved millions of dollars in financial loans to the nigerian govt for arms procurement and military training - why? if you disagree with a repressive govt why train their military, why sell them more arms, is the nigerian military fighing a war, even the peacekeeping missions it goes on are under instructions from the UN which is run by america. The americans are working hand in hand with the corrupt nigerian govt in order to keep the nigerian dictators in office so that their oil companies like Chevron and Exxon Mobil can continue to make huge profits at the expense of the nigerian people, the american govt loves the current set up - its the americans who are keeping the nigerian dictators in power by selling them the arms which they use to perpetuate themselves in power.

Youve got it completely mixed up and you have failed to see the bigger picture.

oh and by the way the soviet union and china are major superpowers who pose a threat to the anglo/american plan of global domination, dont forget that russia and china have nuclear weapons which gives them leverage, china also holds $1.4 trillion dollars in treasury securities (debt owed to them by the US govt) giving them incredible leverage over the US, therefore the idea that the US remains a great superpower is a complete joke, what do you think will happen to their already weakened economy if china decides to call in their debt? i forgot to mention that the US have a current national debt of $12 trillion dollars.
